Wikipedia - Langsning SC
Langsning Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Shillong, in the state of Meghalaya. The club competes in Shillong Premier League and has previously competed in the I-League 2, then second tier of football in India.
History
Langsning FC is a Khasi football club; the name "Langsning" is taken from one locality in Shillong known as Jaiaw Langsning, and most of the players are from this or neighboring localities. The club won the Shillong Premier League in 2017.
Langsning FC had played in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 seasons of I-League 2nd Division. The club failed to advance beyond group stage in 2011 and 2012. Langsning FC's best performance so far came in 2013, where they finished fourth.
After four years, Langsning FC competed again in 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division.
Langsning SC odohráva svoje domáce zápasy na štadióne JN Stadium v Shillonngu. Klub má za sebou krátku históriu, no stal sa obľúbeným medzi miestnymi fanúšikmi. Klub vyhral Meghalayanskú ligu v rokoch 2018 a 2019 a tiež Second Division League v roku 2021.
Medzi najvýznamnejších hráčov klubu patrí brankár Kynsailang Khongwir, obranca Samuel Lalmuanpuia a útočník Aibanbha Shangho. Klub má tiež silnú mládežnícku akadémiu, ktorá v posledných rokoch vyprodukovala niekoľko talentovaných hráčov.
Langsning SC je ambiciózny klub, ktorý dúfa, že v budúcnosti postúpi do I-League. Klub má dobrú základňu fanúšikov a má potenciál stať sa jednou z popredných síl indického futbalu.
