History

Eyüpspor, established in 1919, entered the Istanbul Football League from 1935 to 1938. They ascended to the TFF Third League in 1970–71 but faced relegation to the Regional Amateur League two years later. Reclaiming their spot in the Third League in 1984–85, they surged to the TFF Second League as their group leaders in 1986–87. However, in 1993–94, they fell back to the Third League, only to climb back up in 2000–01. After a setback in 2013–14, they swiftly returned the following season, ultimately reaching the TFF First League in 2020–21.

On 7 April 2024, Eyüpspor secured promotion to the Süper Lig under coach Arda Turan for the first time in their history, after defeating Altay 4–1. On the final matchday of the 2023–24 season, the club clinched the division's title following a 4–0 away win over Erzurumspor.
