Wikipedia - JS Hercules

JS Hercules is an association football club based in Oulu, Finland. Founded in 1998, the team started at the lowest level of the Finnish league system and was playing in the Third Division until promoted to Finnish Second Division, Kakkonen, for the first time for season 2016.

History

When Hercules played the first matches in 1998, some of the players had never played in a football club previously. Some had a little background in their local youth teams and nothing else. The team's core was a group of students mostly from the Faculty of Technology at the University of Oulu. This first generation is almost gone, but a couple are still playing for the reserve team, Herkku-Papat, or manage the team business in the background. Younger ranks are now taking care of the first team efforts on the field.

JS Hercules je fínsky futbalový klub so sídlom v Oulu. Bol založený v roku 1996 a v súčasnosti hrá v Kakkonen, tretej najvyššej lige vo fínskom futbalovom systéme. Domáce zápasy hráva na štadióne Raatti Stadion.

Hercules vyhral Pohár Fínska v roku 2017 a zabezpečil si tak účasť v Európskej lige UEFA v sezóne 2018/19. V prvom predkole Európskej ligy UEFA 2018/19 boli vyradení nórskym klubom Vålerenga Fotball.

Najznámejším hráčom klubu je bývalý fínsky reprezentant Jari Litmanen, ktorý za Hercules hral v rokoch 2010 až 2011.

História klubu

JS Hercules bol založený v roku 1996 spojením dvoch miestnych klubov, OPS Oulu a Tyrnävän Tempaus. Nový klub prevzal miesto OPS Oulu v Kakkonen, tretej najvyššej lige vo fínskom futbalovom systéme.

Hercules hral v Kakkonen až do roku 2001, keď postúpil do Ykkönen, druhej najvyššej ligy. V roku 2005 Hercules zostúpil späť do Kakkonen, ale v roku 2008 opäť postúpil do Ykkönen.

V roku 2017 Hercules vyhral Pohár Fínska a zabezpečil si tak účasť v Európskej lige UEFA v sezóne 2018/19. V prvom predkole Európskej ligy UEFA 2018/19 boli vyradení nórskym klubom Vålerenga Fotball.

Štadión

Hercules hráva svoje domáce zápasy na štadióne Raatti Stadion. Štadión má kapacitu 4 600 miest.
